On May 12, 2024, we hosted our inaugural event, Threads: A Cultural Mosaic

 

The event featured:

​

• A cultural fashion show highlighting traditional and contemporary attire from 25 different cultures cultures modelled by University of Toronto Medical Students.

• A keynote by Dr. Chika Stacy Oriuwa

• Donations through ticket sales to Doctors Without Borders amounting to $3000

• Networking opportunities for 120 attendees comprising of medical students, U of T staff, residents, physicians
