My name is Trisha, I’m a second year medical student at UofT, and I am so excited to be Co-Chair of this year’s fashion show with Inaya!! I had so much fun as part of the marketing team previously and can’t wait to further explore the intersection between arts and medicine in this role 🙂 I love all things fashion, music and movies (so if you ever need any recommendations I’m your person!)

Melissa Berberi
Hi everyone! My name is Melissa, I'm a second year medical student and I’m thrilled to be serving as marketing lead this year. I love exploring my creative side, whether it's through painting, photography, or even just curating a good vibe with a playlist! Last year, I had the opportunity to celebrate my Albanian roots as a model in Threads- a truly meaningful experience that allowed me to honour my roots while connecting with so many peers. This year, I’m excited to share that energy with all of you by highlighting our community, our stories, and everything that makes Threads amazing!

Hi, my name is Asiya and I’m a first-year medical student at UofT with a background in global health. I’ve always loved finding ways to bring people together through culture and community, which is why I’m excited to be part of Threads. Outside of school, I’m involved in extracurriculars that support and uplift the Somali community and I also enjoy creative outlets like photography, pottery painting, baking, and watching K-dramas. For me, Threads is a chance to celebrate diversity at UofT and connect with others by sharing our vibrant cultures!

Hi! My name is Muhadisa, I am a first-year medical student and incredibly excited to be part of the Threads team this year. Exploring creative outlets such as poetry, painting, short stories, and fashion allows me to express myself, and I especially cherish the opportunity to reflect my cultural identity as a Pakistani Hazara through creativity. In my spare time, I enjoy playing and watching soccer, hiking, and discovering new cafés and museums. I am looking forward to being part of bringing this meaningful celebration of cultural diversity to the UofT community!

Hi! I’m Eden, a first-year medical student at UofT, and I’m so excited to be part of Threads! Fashion and culture have always been important to me. I grew up attending community celebrations where traditional clothing wasn’t just style, but a way of sharing stories and history. Those moments showed me how fashion can connect people, honour heritage, and spark creativity. I also love thrifting - it’s the perfect way to discover unique pieces and give them new life. To me, fashion is all about expression and celebrating individuality, and I can’t wait to showcase that energy at Threads!

Hello, my name is Jashnoor Chhina, and I am super excited to be a part of the Threads team! I am currently a second-year medical student at the University of Toronto, and previously graduated from the Medical Sciences program at Western University. As someone who enjoys the intersection of culture, fashion, and creativity– Threads felt like a natural fit! Beyond that, in my free time, I enjoy exploring new cafés, taking photos on my digital camera, and attending workout classes with friends!

My name is Tehrim Younas, and I’m a second-year medical student at UofT. Creativity has always been an anchor in my life - be it through visual arts, fashion, or storytelling. As a child, I spent countless hours designing, styling and sewing clothes, and I feel grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with that passion now by leading model management.

Hi! My name is Phoebe, and I am a first-year medical student at UofT. As someone of Chinese heritage, I have always been fascinated by the intersection of culture and identity. This year, I am excited to join Threads on the Model Management Subcommittee, where I hope to channel my passion for fashion in order to empower my peers to celebrate their unique cultures and identities. Together, I believe we can use fashion not only as a form of self-expression, but also as a vehicle for change!

I am so excited to be joining Threads as an Event Planning Lead. Growing up in Toronto, I have always admired its multicultural communities, and I love exploring new food spots from cuisines around the world in my spare time. I also enjoy being outside, walking my dog, and playing tennis when I get a chance! As an East Asian and South Asian medical student, Threads has allowed me to meet so many incredible peers and given me a strong sense of belonging. I love showcasing our diverse, talented medical community and can’t wait for this year’s show!

Hi, my name is Anton, and I am a second-year medical student at the University of Toronto. I grew up in Saskatchewan and completed my undergraduate degree in microbiology & immunology at Western University. Outside of school, I enjoy playing tennis, long distance running, travelling, spending time outdoors with friends and family, and trying new restaurants and eating way more food than I should. I look forward to working with Threads again this year and am excited to continue learning about the diverse cultural traditions practiced by the people here at Temerty while contributing to a good cause.
